Decadent Chocolate EVOO Cookie
Chocolate EVOO Cookies
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Twisted Olive Chocolate Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO)
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix together the Twisted Olive Chocolate EVOO, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and beat until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
Fold in the chocolate chips (and nuts if using).
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly soft.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
